I was born in the beautiful legendary city Kiev, Ukraine. My childhood was surrounded by fairy tales, legends and mysteries hidden in every curve of old dusty streets. As a child I loved to create my own toys. I sculpted tiny characters that were living in my house plants and all kind of other tiny things. I started creating art dolls when I was about 16, a student at the State Art School. My first doll was Ikarus, strange fellow with blue hair, sculpted from brown plasticine with wings made from dried leaves and stems. I was a student at theater of improvisation when I made my second art doll the evil leprecon that traveled with me to U.S. in 1998.

Theater had a big influence on my life but the only way I could bring it into my life was trough illustration. Illustration combines everything, the story, the character, the costume, and the place. I graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design (Columbus, Oh) in 2004 majoring in illustration.

Working as a freelance illustrator and designer I was teaching at Columbus Music and Art academy. After my first child was born I had to leave my daytime job and I came back to my old passion Art Dolls.
Now let me say, welcome to my little world of fairies, elves and other whimsical creatures. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
